The Temple of Martial Arts

A journey of discipline and awareness, where every movement becomes a form of meditation and every breath builds inner power.

Jay Kirton’s

journey in martial arts began in London at a young age, where karate quickly became more than just a sport — it became a path of discipline, direction, and personal transformation.
Through years of dedicated training and competition, Jay rose through the ranks to compete internationally, earning World and European titles and representing his country at elite events across Europe.

One highlight of his competitive career was winning silver at the prestigious Dutch Open, competing among some of the strongest fighters in international karate. These experiences shaped not only his technical ability but his mindset — teaching him resilience, composure under pressure, and the value of long-term discipline.

Alongside his own competitive journey, Jay played an important role in supporting and coaching his brother, Jerome Brown, as he progressed through national and international competition and later into the professional arena with Karate Combat. Working closely with a professional fighter gave Jay rare insight into elite performance preparation, strategy, and the psychology required to compete at the highest level.

Jay’s training

has never been limited to one system alone. In addition to traditional karate, he has trained in mixed martial arts, expanding his understanding of movement, timing, distance, grappling awareness, and practical self-defence application. This broader experience allows him to teach students skills that are both traditional and adaptable for modern life.

Today, Jay teaches martial arts in Mayapur, where his work focuses not only on physical technique but on developing strong, confident, balanced individuals. His teaching blends classical martial arts principles with modern movement training, breathwork, and internal practices that help students improve coordination, posture, emotional regulation, and mental clarity.

As a Level 2 initiated Kriya Yogi, Jay integrates yogic breath awareness and internal discipline into his coaching approach. This creates a unique training environment where students learn how to stay calm under pressure, move efficiently, and develop confidence from within — not just through physical strength but through self-mastery.

Jay works with men, boys, and students of all ages, both in person and online. He also travels internationally to deliver seminars and workshops, sharing his approach to movement training, martial arts development, breathwork integration, and confidence building across different communities around the world.

More than anything, Jay’s mission is to help the next generation grow into capable, grounded, and resilient human beings.

Through martial arts training he supports students in developing:

  • confidence

  • focus and discipline

  • breath awareness and emotional control

  •  strong posture and mobility

  •  resilience under pressure

  •  leadership and self-respect

For Jay, martial arts is not just about learning how to fight.
It is about learning how to stand strong in life.
